History

Home life for Julia is easily defined: Muggle London. Behind the words lies a life more complex story however. Born to Walter and Joanna Styles it was forever destined that Julia Styles, first and only daughter of the London born family, was to become a Witch. This was something made known to the girl early on in life. Her mother, Joanna, being the line of heritage with which Julia got her magical vein had made it a priority to explain all that there was to know about who she was, and where she descended from. From the first moment it seemed right to do so she filled her daughter in, raising her in the knowledge so that it became a normal faucet of life. This was something done despite a slight twist however, as Joanna, while having the blood of a witch herself, lived a purely muggle life. While she had no problem with the wizarding world, she had chosen early on to live apart from it. Something that was made easier with the discovery (and perhaps charming) of her husband, Walter. The two lived a content life in amidst the expanse of London, providing a home for Julia to be raised in. Her future in many respects was left down to her.

When the time came Julia did choose to embrace the strange world of magic her mother spent much time explaining to her. It was an easy transition into the new world. Something aided by the girls curiosity, and love of exploration. Being London born that meant she was bound for Hogwarts where she attended her first year. From there she spent her years progressing as a young witch throughout the school terms. Having the outgoing personality that she did she found it easy to make friends despite her strange new surroundings. She also found her strengths in Transfiguration early on. Not that she necessarily excelled in class. But she found a use, and love for it all the same.

Using Tranfiguration to fuel her creativity she became somewhat known for her use of it. While some looked upon it as a trip towards mastery, others were fond of saying it seemed more like a path towards trouble. Naturally her teachers held a mixed review on her. But she streamed through her years at Hogwarts with a positive smile and skip in her step. Though she was no one special, she stood out for her own reasons. Julia found a good report with her elders as she grew as a young lady. To put it bluntly she was fancy free, and a trouble maker. But the lines she crossed were hardly ever sever, and promise seemed to abound her. Even the most cynical of professors had an easy time with her as a student thanks to this odd mix. This became her un-dramatic legacy.

Personality

Julia is a good hearted soul with a streak of trouble derived from her flare of passion, curiosity, and adventurous inclination. She has the notable marks of a Ravenclaw, a sharp wit, and intelligent bent. She is outgoing, up front, and willing to try almost anything.

With others this plays out profoundly. She has no problem approaching anyone, yet chooses her favourites. In a heartbeat she is likely to get everyone involved, and will especially seek people out to take on her expeditions. At the same time she doesn’t necessarily need others to undergo her ideas, or, especially, support her ideals. She loves her friend but is an individual soul. She more often than not carves herself out in the world apart from others. Not to spite them. Simply just because that’s her.

With her teachers her free, outgoing, witty nature builds quite the report. She constantly finds herself testing the boundaries of her superiors, and relenting when she hits them. While this has made her problematic to a professors patience, and sanity at the odd time in the past, it has also helped build a good sense of respect in Julia. Which in turn has been reciprocated by those patient enough to let her grow. Fortunately for her she has always had the brains to allow her to see where those boundaries lie. Keeping her from being a lost social delinquent. Others can see that in her too.

Perhaps nothing displays Julia’s personality more than her pursuits in Transmogrification. Thanks to it’s unique faculties it has become something of an outlet for her personality. The creative aspect mingled with the thoughtfulness of a thorough idea has seen her come up with all manner of magical concepts. The most obvious and commonly seen is her fascination with changing her physical appearance, namely her hair. It serves as a means to try something different at a whim, but in the broader scope has implications far exceeding anything she might have thought up at any given time.

To summarise Julia: she has a big heart with a lot of desires- fuelled by a head full of ideas. She will jump at opportunities to see them in actuality.

Future Goals: Her future goals consist of travelling, exploring, having fun partying, and maybe one day settling down into something most wouldn’t consider being settled at all. Though Julia does have a flare and fancy for transfiguration. Finding something she could do with that does play on her mind. Becoming a Transfiguration instructor has also crossed her mind. Really though the world is her oyster.
