*is a gamer*

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Well, just a little. My bro is THE gamer of the family. I just dabble.

I have a new favorite PC game in the entire world. It's called Titan Quest, and it is awesome. For those of you that know about my Diablo II obsession (OMG, they're making a third one!), you might understand why I heart it so when I say this: the format is almost EXACTLY the same. With little differences that make Titan Quest the better of the two. For instance, your classes don't come "pre-gendered" like they do in Diablo. You can make male or female and decide what they'll be from there. And there are more classes by far! When you reach a certain level, you can cross-class by putting points in a different mastery. You can make anything, literally.

So I made Diallo. Yes, I am a total nerd. But the best part of it? He's the most badass thing ever. Basically, I started him in the "nature" class, which means (depending on what you put points in) he can summon creatures and plant-life. The very first skill he learned was summoning wolves. The first of which I promptly named Lorelai. Heeeeeee... Later on, he gained the ability to summon two, so the other is Pup. The funniest thing about this is one of the wolves is always running on almost no health. I don't get how that happens. The other will be in tiptop shape, while the one is almost dead ALL THE TIME. I'm constantly having to "disban" my pet, which is like an unsummoning. And it's so sad, because they go YARK and disappear. Then resummon, just so he'll be at full health again. But as soon as something attacks us? BOOM! Almost dead. And he will go through the whole game like that! Until we reach a boss, and he dies. So... that one is always Pup. Just because it seems like him. :p

Even further in, as Diallo leveled, he learned a skill called "Summon Nymph". Oh... My... God. Best power ever! When you do it, you have to choose a spot for him to summon her. He tosses a seed, a huge flower grows, and she pops out of it. She's blond, carries a bow and arrow, skips everywhere she goes, and GIGGLES constantly. So that's Alice. (Kaz was the one who pointed this out to me, really.) And trust me, it's perfect. Because she laughs at the most horrible moments. We're basically committing genocide on a race of blue cat people, and what do I hear? TEEHEE! Jesus. O_O Sometimes, when we're just standing still, she will skip circles around him. I couldn't make it more perfect if I tried.

When I do get around to cross-classing him, I'm going to start putting points in the "earth" powers, which basically involves fire. Albeit it won't be blue, but I can't complain too much. I mean, just the fact that I can make it that close to FR!Diallo makes me giddy!

Also, you get to choose a tunic color when you start. I chose red, though Kaz insists it looks pink. And the "helmet" he is currently wearing looks mysteriously like a tiara. So she and I finally agreed that Diallo is a pretty, pretty princess. :p

But yeah, this is the most entertaining game of all time. Except I'm stuck now on a really difficult boss, and instead of moving forward, I have to go back and level him some more. I think he's at 18 now... I want to get him to at least 20 before I try again. Which isn't as fun as pushing forward with the story, but I'll deal.

Oh! And you get to talk to General Leonidas as part of your quests! *geekgasm!*
