Virgil http://www.dailykitten.com/archives/2029-virgil.html http://www.dailykitten.com/?p=2029 Location: Downers Grove, Illinois, USA

This is Virgil, and he is four weeks old. We brought him home from the vet today, where he had been living since someone found him on their steps with one of his siblings. Unfortunately the sibling didn’t make it, but Virgil is doing very well. He is eating tasty food on his own and getting to know his new brothers and sister, who are a lot older and bigger than him (he is currently weighing in at one pound). He spent most of his first day home exploring and has already found a spot where he loves to sit in the window. | | Sunday, August 17th, 2008 | | 2:07 pm |
Olive http://www.dailykitten.com/archives/2026-olive.html http://www.dailykitten.com/?p=2026 Location: Santa Monica, California, USA

This is Olive on her second day home. She was adopted from a local shelter, and got her name from her gorgeous olive green eyes. She loves to explore and has loads of energy! She pounces on our other cat Froggy every chance she gets. Here she is in her favorite place, the kitchen. She loves food, and is constantly attempting to swipe whatever we are eating! We love our Olive! | | Saturday, August 16th, 2008 | | 2:07 pm |
Winny http://www.dailykitten.com/archives/2023-winny.html http://www.dailykitten.com/?p=2023 Location: Smithville, Ohio, USA

Winny (he’s a male - the shelter named him) is only about two weeks old and is completely bottle fed. He’s such a silly little guy and looks so adorable while he is toddling around the house trying to chase me down. It will be very hard to take Winny back to the shelter, but I have at least a month before I have to think about it. | | Friday, August 15th, 2008 | | 2:07 pm |

Fudge http://www.dailykitten.com/archives/2015-fudge.html http://www.dailykitten.com/?p=2015 Location: Telford, England, UK

My partner and I rescued Fudge in May this year. We went down to reserve the little guy, advertised as six weeks old, and came away with him despite being far too young.
The little guy had been taken from his mummy, and was sharing a small cage with his brothers and sisters in a dark cupboard. The vet put him at five weeks old, if that, and so needed regular feeding of mushed up kitten food.
Fudge is a little terror; he delights in chasing toes and stealing food from Hex, our first cat. He’s now nearly four months old and much, much bigger! | | Tuesday, August 12th, 2008 | | 2:07 pm |

Cloney Nelson http://www.dailykitten.com/archives/2010-cloney-nelson.html http://www.dailykitten.com/?p=2010 Location: San Bernardino, California, USA

Cloney Nelson was abanded with his sister about two weeks ago. He and his sister were so sick that I had to spoon feed them. It was a miracle that they lived. We had newborns in the house so we had a safe place for him and sister outside with all our feral soup kitchen cats. I took them to the vet. I was so scared that they might have FIV, but they where OK. The vet said most likely all the cats out in our back right now are free of FIV. They all share the same food dishes most of the time. | | Monday, August 11th, 2008 | | 2:07 pm |
Buff, Li’l Red, and Mimi http://www.dailykitten.com/archives/2008-buff-lil-red-and-mimi.html http://www.dailykitten.com/?p=2008 Location: Ashland, Oregon, USA

Buff, Li’l Red and Mimi were three of my five foster kittens last winter. When they arrived at my house, Mimi, the tortie, meowed indignantly when I opened the carrier, and continued to be the Spokeskitty for the group, letting me know in no uncertain terms that they had needs which they expected me to fulfill! Li’l Red (female, dark orange) and Mimi the tortie were tiny and needed lots of food and loving bonding. Buff (male) and Mimi were adopted together to the same home, and Li’l Red to another, and the other two brothers, who were larger, were adopted together. This picture was taken by Christine Sears at the Jackson Co. Animal Shelter after I brought them back to be adopted out. They were eight or nine weeks old. It broke my heart to see them go. But I’m glad they have homes and that some got to stay together. | | Saturday, August 9th, 2008 | | 2:07 pm |

Ripley http://www.dailykitten.com/archives/2001-ripley.html http://www.dailykitten.com/?p=2001 Location: Kingsport, Tennessee, USA

Ripley loves bags, as you can see. If there is a bag in the floor she will climb in it and just have a ball. When I went to the animal shelter last month, I couldn’t decide on which cat I wanted until I seen her. She was trying to climb up the front of the kennel. When a volunteer let her out, she jumped right on my boyfriend’s shoulders then onto mine, from a good 3-4 feet away!! |
