Posting from the desktop, because I still can't remember how to set up Semagic to post to multiple journals at the same time so I can do that from the Eee. Please, please, if someone can help... the link I had to a post with info on how was on GJ and I can't get to it.

I think Circe likes me more than I thought. She usually flops around the keyboard on the desktop when I'm using the computer, but when I was on the Eee on the futon she came and sat near me; actually I had all the cats near me, it was nice! There's room for them all on the futon.

And seriously, I gotta say it again, thanks so much, doombuggie! The Eee was your suggestion in the first place, and I could never have set up the router myself.

My bottle of Forever Home from Possets hasn't come yet :( It's lying ignored on some post office truck, I know it.

Oh, and with a little nudging from jennywho, I'm thinking of setting up an Eee community. There's already one, but it's pretty dead and very techie-oriented.

Firefox is being a dayglo orange nailstudded dildo. Dripping with habanero sauce that you can't see cuz it's orange, so next thing you know you're all cut up with nails and burning from the habanero sauce.

Well, maybe not quite that bad, but it's crashing a lot.

...I just spent waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much at Whole Foods. But I got all the things I wanted! Two bottles of blueberry juice, a carton of blood orange juice, a bottle of green apple Italian soda, a sixpack of root beer, a fourpack of fancy ginger ale, four sausages (one of them buffalo bratwurst!), some potatoes, the chocolate I promised myself, bagels, cream cheese, butter, a fancy cupcake (I'd wanted to try one of theirs for a long time)... and jennywho and I had brunch from the hot bar. They had comfort food and German food; I had jagerschnitzel and German potato salad. OM NOM NOM.

Mmmm. I might nap now. I had a pleasant erranding-and-socializing on a chilly (but thankfully so far unrainy) day, and now I have a full belly and a full fridge and it's warm in my apartment

I have plans to go to Whole Foods with jennywho today. I'm oddly excited, as if for a much bigger outing. Not sure why. Is it just because I enjoy hanging out with her, or is it a harbinger of something good about to happen? Anyway, I have promised myself three bars of Good Chocolate. Probably lavender, bacon, and jasmine, I know Whole Foods usually has those. Tasty-tasy! And hopefully I will be able to get blueberry juice, and I want bagels and some of the awesome sausage they have.

I'm drinking cola (laced with falernum, yummy) from a cup instead of swigging it from the bottle. How mature of me.

I was trying to watch the fansub of Death Note: The Last Name on the Eee but Molly kept getting in the way. No good with subtitles! So I gave up for now. Either she was jealous of the Eee getting attention or she wanted to watch it without me in the way. Perhaps she is a L/Light shipper. Do cats like yaoi?

Because it's been forever since I signed up with AIM and I forgot the passwored, I had to make a new AIM screenname for the Eee. It's PortableKusu. My YM screennames are the same. So if you see me signed on as PortableKusu, I'm on the Eee.

My spiky backpack is now the Eee bag.

Still too braindead to tag in Amat. I feel kinda guilty since I owe three people tags, but Kusuri-uri is a tricky voice to get right, as hcolleen can vouch.

I owe RP tags, but I'm headachey and sleepy, bah.

Since everyone is giving their thoughts on Matt Smith... I haven't seen him in anything, so all I can say is, he's a rather pretty infant. 26, wow! I was, like many others, hoping for Paterson Joseph, but I'll certainly give Matt Smith a fair chance. But geez, 26...

The Eee is up and running. I've loaded it with a bunch of music and some pictures. I've installed Xvid codecs. I've set the desktop wallpaper to the pretty pic hcolleen made me. I've installed WinAmp.

Further tweaking, I think, requires being somewhere with wifi.

HolyClothing is having a really good sale but they've also hiked their shipping quite a bit. I was gonna get a couple of tops, but...

UPS still not here.

I saw a UPS truck outside, but no package for me! But the tracking still says "Out For Delivery", not "Delivered" or "Delivery Attempted" (both have happened to me before and the status changed on the site right away). So I am all nervous! Well, more nervous.

Just send a note to Decalgirl asking how much it would cost to get a skin made for my Eee with this pic. Pretty, is it not? And of course other Mononoke fans would recognize it, hee.

According to UPS, tomorrow is when I get my Eee. I just did a little tweaking of the files on the USB drive; I figure I won't be reading doujinshi on the 10" screen, so I deleted those and packed on more music instead. hcolleen is teasing me about being fidgety as if this was a new thing. But it made sense! When I go out and about I'll need music more anyway. I can't wait!

Also, so much for the decision I'd made to not spend money today. The seller of the book that got lost in the mail (it was volume one of the Welcome to the NHK manga) gave me a refund and I found another seller that had a copy for about the same price, so I ordered it. Because hey, I need my fix of miserable hikikomori, right?

Seems like most of you have had a rough 2008. Here's hoping we all have a wonderful 2009!

I am pissed off at the Post Office. First I get a priority mail package 12 days after it was mailed, and now an opened, empty envelope! And when I went to the Post Office to mail a package this afternoon, they'd closed at noon, leaving me to stew in a line of people who had no idea how to use the automated kiosk.

The good for today: Magenta was out and about! When I came close, she darted back into her shell, but it was nice to see some crabby activity. Delirium hasn't moved since I noticed the molt and I am not sure if I should worry.

I wish I could summon up some actual plot for the L/A I have simmering in my brain. It'd be nice to spend New Year's Eve writing.

So much for the post office, I'm feeling sorta queasy. Not as bad as last night (nothing spices up a first date like excusing yourself to vomit!) but enough that I don't want to get on a bus. Suck and suck, I hope I don't have a stomach bug. I'm sucking on some ginger candy to try and settle my stomach.
